"The Spellcharged Sea has long been a source of unknown danger for Valorfalls citizens. Despite centuries of living near its coast, the ocean remains largely unexplored.

Vessels that wish to sail these unpredictable waters must first be enchanted to dissuade the approach of creatures bloated from arcane energy. The seas magical storms wreck havoc on all but the most veteran of sailing crews. Navigational tools often fail. Chains of islands floating above and below sea level seem to move with no clear pattern. Few crews will risk longer than a week out on the open sea. The risk has never been worth the reward.

In an unprecedented plan to pierce the unknown, the Arcane Hall, Trailblazers Coalition, Mercantile Council, and Gemhouse have pooled their resources to create a fleet of seafaring vessels with a single mission: chart as much of the Spellcharged Sea as possible and survive to tell the tale."
