The Intermediate Tactics workbookcontains 300 chess tactics puzzles (nocheckmates) for players ratedapproximately 1400-1800.

The first five chapters cover forks,pins, skewers, removing the defendersand end games. The sixth chapter contains a final exam where the reader must solve each puzzle by determining which tactic applies.

All chapters have puzzles from theperspective of both white to play and black to play.
