Gameplay has been streamlined even as new strategic elements have been added. In this version the conspirators must focus on assassinating Hitler with explosives, completing Operation Valkyrie. This can be accomplished in a number of ways, with the Gestapo always close at hand to pull you in for questioning.

The game ends either when you successfully defeat Hitler or when the Gestapo collect enough evidence to have you tried for treason and executed. The game also ends in failure if you exhaust the interrogation deck.
