The object is to connect the two opposite sides of the game board with a chain of horizontal bars and vertical stakes, preventing the opponent from doing the same with the other two sides.

In turn, each player makes a move on the modular board by connecting two stakes with a horizontal bar on the 3x2 diagonal; the barrier thus constructed cannot be crossed and the bars cannot cross.
