Flames of War: Anti-Tank Rifle Team (Greatcoats)

The Panzerbchse 39 (or PzB 39) was the standard anti-tank rifle of the German Army during the early stages of the Second World War. A refined version of the earlier Panzerbchse 38, the PzB 39 fired the same specially designed cartridge as it predicator; a 7.92mm projectile housed in a large 94mm long case known as the 7.92x94 Patronen.

Capable of penetrating 25mm of armour at ranges out to 330 yards, total production of the PzB 39 was in excess of 39,000. While it remained in service until 1944, it was hopelessly inadequate against all but lightest armoured vehicles.
