The second Chinese aircraft carrier and the first to be indigenously produced was commissioned in 2019. An improved version of her predecessor, Liaoning, she retains the ski-jump take-off ramp. Capacity is limited to 24 J-15 multi-purpose fighter aircraft and up to 8 helicopters.
