This swirling jumble of floating stone, lava tubes and fire are held together by a weak gravity and atmospheric shell but never form a greater whole. An explorer standing on a horizon-stretching chunk of rock can observe thousands of similar stone continents floating overhead and across the horizon, rivers of lava floating among, around, and over them as if inside a planet-sized lava lamp. Up and down have no meaning in this constantly shifting world of hellish heat and stunning spectacle. To navigate this environment is to risk death.
